About me

I'm a 20 year old girl who lives in the Netherlands. I love reading, crafting and gardening and I'm constantly on the look-out for new books, crafts and garden seeds. I also like travelling, but because I've been a poor student for the last 3 years, I haven't had much of a chance to fulfil this need. I'm interested in permaculture, so maybe I'll go WWOOFing after I've finished my studies. I'd love to go to New Zealand - or Peru - or Mongolia - or... Well, we'll see.

I have a 24 year old boyfriend (L.)  and we've been living together since the beginning of 2010. He's finished his studies (Comparative Literature) and is probably going to study in the UK next year. I also have two cats: Aiden (a red/orange taby male) and Irma (brown/grey taby female). Aiden is weird, mischievous and active. Irma is sweet, loves food and is a bit overweight.

Literature

I love reading and therefore study Comparative Literature in Utrecht. I like a lot of books from a lot of different time periods, my favourites change constantly. Some authors whose stories I like (adore): Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Nikolai Gogol, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Michael Ende, Tonke Dragt, Alexander Afanasyev... I do not tend to be genre-bound.

Crafting

I've always liked crafting and love to try new things. Some things I enjoy doing: knitting, sewing, painting, building things for my garden, mosaicking. Things I'd like to learn in the future: crocheting, willow crafting, building houses out of straw bales, ..., ... (this is an ongoing list).
